What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Stef’s Fabrication respects our customers and web site visitors right to privacy and only use your information as described in this Privacy Policy. For each visitor to this site, our web server automatically recognizes only your IP address which is used by a third party, Google Analytics, to measure our web site traffic. That data can disclose your general location such as City and State, but has no personal identifying data.

When making a purchase or when using our contact form, the information we collect is

  • used to improve the content and function of our web site.
  • used to notify customers or potential customers about updates to our company via email.
  • only shared with payment processing networks and shipping companies if you make a purchase.
  • used to ship your product and process your order. Your name, address, phone number, email address and other pertinent information are only collected to process your order and ship your product. It is also used for communications with you.

Contact Forms & Orders

We require information from the user on our order form. A user must provide contact information (name, email, shipping address, etc.) and possibly financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). If we have trouble processing an order, we use the information to contact the user. This information is used:

  • for shipping and billing purposes.
  • to fill customers orders.
  • to contact the customer regarding the order.

When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as credit card information, that data is encrypted between our server and our payment gateways. Credit Card Information is never stored on this web site. 


If you leave a comment or purchase a product, or review a product on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. If you visit our customer login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.


When visitors leave a review on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We share anonymous data with Google Analytics as part of their Statistics service. We also share your contact and billing information with our payment processor to process your payment only. 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or a product review, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For customers that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
